NAHMIAS TAPPED TO BE THE NEXT CHIEF JUSTICE OF GEORGIA’S SUPREME COURT

Presiding Justice David E. Nahmias was unanimously elected by colleagues on Thursday to become the next Chief Justice of Georgia’s Supreme Court, according to a media release from the court. He will succeed Chief Justice Harold D. Melton, who will resign from that post on July 1, 2021, after 16 years of service as a justice. In addition, Michael P. Boggs was unanimously elected as the next Presiding Justice.
