A total of 1,119 new cases of coronavirus and 17 more virus-related fatalities were reported across Georgia on Tuesday by the state’s Department of Public Health.
According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 844,720 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 16,187. In Floyd County, there were 9,684 confirmed cases and 168 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 82,748, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,153.
As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard on Monday afternoon, a total of 3,207,113 vaccines had been administered statewide.
