CORONAVIRUS, VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Just 925 new cases of coronavirus and 12 more virus-related fatalities were reported in Georgia on Tuesday afternoon by the state’s Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 851,306 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 16,533. In Floyd County, there were 9,767 confirmed cases and 173 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 83,410, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,182.

As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard on Tuesday afternoon, 3,689,448 vaccines had been administered statewide.
