SALVATION ARMY OF ROME IS VIGILANT IN ANTICIPATION OF ADDITIONAL SEVERE WEATHER THIS SPRING; ASSISTANCE FROM THE PUBLIC SOUGHT TOWARDS RELIEF EFFORTS

The Salvation Army of Rome remains vigilant in anticipation of additional severe weather throughout the remainder of Spring.

Lieutenant Paula Blevins asserts that the non-profit could use some cases of bottled water, as well as Gatorade, to boost its stash for storm victims.

Financial contributions may also be made towards storm relief efforts online at www.salvationarmygeorgia.org/rome. This money may be earmarked for specific disasters, such as last week’s storms, adds Lt. Blevins.

The Salvation Army of Rome, which now serves Floyd, Polk, and Chattooga Counties, offered their assistance to those impacted by last Thursday’s severe weather that ravaged Cedartown. Disaster relief has been a major priority for the organizations’s Advisory Board over the past year, says Lt. Tim Blevins.

Training is necessary for those who want to contribute as a volunteer with the organization in their disaster relief efforts. Get details about upcoming classes by calling the Salvation Army of Rome at (706) 291-4745.
