CORONAVIRUS, VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Just 655 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Georgia on Sunday by the state’s Department of Public Health, along with one virus-related death.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 855,839 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 16,749. In Floyd County, there were 9,816 confirmed cases and 175 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 83,827, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,208.

As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard on Sunday afternoon, 4,185,967 vaccines have been administered statewide.
