LIVE THEATRE IS ON TAP FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS IN ROME

Locals will have opportunities to enjoy some live theatre over the next couple of weeks (with protocols in regard to coronavirus).

The River Arts District Playhouse (or The RAD) will present “Driving Miss Daisy” tonight through Sunday, April 18th. This show tells the story of an old Jewish lady and her African-American chaufffeur in a relationship that grows from resentment to affection over the years; it’s a relationship that transcends history, says Carle Atwater, who portrays Hoke Colburn, the chauffer.

Purchase tickets and get more information about “Driving Miss Daisy” online at www.therad.biz. The River Arts District Playhouse is located at 233 North 5th Avenue in downtown Rome.

The Rome Little Theatre’s production of “Love Letters” will take the stage at the historic DeSoto Theatre on Friday night and will run over two weekends. Friday showtimes are 7:30 pm with Saturday matinees at 2:30 pm. This will be the first RLT production on the DeSoto stage in more than a year.
