CORONAVIRUS, VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Just 738 new cases of coronavirus and no virus-related deaths were reported on Sunday across Georgia by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 862,137 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 16,982. In Floyd County, there were 9,867 confirmed cases and 177 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 84,488, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,229.

As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard on Sunday afternoon, 4,750,317 vaccines have been administered; 17 percent of all Georgians have been fully vaccinated.
