The annual Ellen Axson Wilson ArtsFest will return to downtown Rome on Saturday, May 1st from 10 am to 4 pm. Megan Otwell, the Director of Public Relations for Rome’s Downtown Development Authority, indicates that road closures will not be necessitated by this event, which will feature art exhibits hosted by the Rome Area Council for the Arts in addition to live music.
Vendor space is still available. To request space, fill out an online application at www.downtownromega.us/events/ellen-axson-wilson-arts-fest. The cost to enter is $20. The application deadline is Monday, April 19th.
Romans who plan to attend the ArtsFest are encouraged to arrive early for the Between the Rivers Farmer’s Market, which returns for ’21 that morning over at the Bridgepoint Plaza parking lot from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.
The Ellen Axson Wilson ArtsFest is free to the public, thanks to the financial support of the downtown Business Improvement District (or BID).
