ROME CITY COMMISSION HOLDS HYBRID IN-PERSON/VIRTUAL GATHERING

The Rome City Commission gathered in a hybrid in-person/virtual meeting on Monday night. They voted to approve an alcohol ordinance amendment which allows for Sunday package sales to begin at 11 am as opposed to the previous time of 12:30 pm. A contract for a rewrite of Rome-Floyd’s Unified Land Development Code (or ULDC) was additionally approved. The public is invited to attend the Floyd County Commission’s next regular meeting, scheduled for today at the Forum River Center. Caucus is slated for 4 pm in the Floyd Room, with the meeting to follow at 6 pm in the ballroom. Attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
