BRAVES FALL IN EXTRA INNINGS TO MARLINS AT TRUIST PARK

The Atlanta Braves were defeated by the Miami Marlins 6-5 in 10 innings on Wednesday evening in the third outing of a four game set at Truist Park. That was the fourth loss in a row for the Braves.

Ronald Acuna Jr. had three hits, including two home runs. His second homer of the night tied the game up at 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Acuna is now tied with Hank Aaron for most extra base hits (13) by a Braves player through the first 12 games of a season.

Jesus Aguilar secured the win for the Marlins with an RBI double that scored Starling Marte in the top of the 10th.

Tyler Matzek was charged with the loss for Atlanta. Starting pitcher Charlie Morton surrendered five runs and seven hits, walked two, and struck out nine in six innings of work.

The Braves aim to salvage a victory in their series against the Marlins in the finale this afternoon. First pitch is set for 12:20 pm. The game will be aired on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 11:05 am by the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.
