DAVIES SHELTERS TO HOLD FIRST IN-PERSON FUNDRAISING EVENT IN OVER A YEAR ON JUNE 27TH

Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 27th! That’s the date of the Dog Days of Summer event to benefit the William S. Davies Homeless Shelters. It will be held at River Dog Outpost and Paddle Company, 1 Broad Street.

Devon Smyth, Executive Director, states that this will be the Davies Shelters’ first in-person fundraiser in over a year. Tickets will be limited to 100 people for this outdoor affair, which will take place from 5 pm to 8 pm. Those tickets will be on sale soon!

Robert Smyth will spin some tunes at the event, at which there will also be a raffle for either a paddle board or a kayak, indicates Smyth.

Tickets will be $50 each; that price includes food, drink, and perhaps even a popsicle, says Smyth, who adds that proceeds from the Dog Days of Summer event will benefit guests and staff at the Davies Shelters, which includes The Shelter for men and the Ruth and Naomi House for women and children.
