A total of 713 new cases of the coronavirus and no virus-related deaths were reported in Georgia on Sunday by the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 868,865 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 17,214. In Floyd County, there were 9,905 confirmed cases and 178 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 85,198, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,251.
As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard on Sunday afternoon, 5,321,111 vaccines have been administered across the state; 32 percent of all Georgians have had at least a dose, while 20 percent are fully vaccinated.
