BRAVES IN NEW YORK TO FACE YANKEES TONIGHT; UPDATE ON ACUNA

The Atlanta Braves were off on Monday and will return to action this evening in New York, NY with the opener of a two-game interleague series versus the Yankees. Charlie Morton will be the starting pitcher for Atlanta, and Jamison Taillon will head to the mound for New York. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm at Yankee Stadium. The Braves opened up their current five-game road trip in Chicago by taking two of three from the Cubs during the weekend. They sealed their series win with five home runs en route to a 14-3 victory on Sunday in the finale.

In other news from the Braves, Ronald Acuna Jr. is listed as day to day after sustaining an abdominal strain in Sunday night’s game against the Cubs. He underwent an MRI on Monday. Not only did Acuna avoid the injured list, he was also named the National League Player of the Week!
