BRAVES BEAT YANKEES AT NEW YORK, FINISH ROAD TRIP WITH A WINNING RECORD

The Atlanta Braves beat the New York Yankees 4-1 on Wednesday evening in the finale of a two-game interleague set at Yankee Stadium in New York; that resulted in a split in the series and allowed the Braves to wrap up a five-game road trip (that started in Chicago) with three wins and two losses.

Ian Anderson secured the win for Atlanta after surrendering just four hits over six and two-third scoreless innings, walking four and striking out four.

Austin Riley reached home plate three times. He clubbed a lead-off homer in the top of the ninth.

The Braves are off tonight and will open a seven game homestand on Friday night with the first of three games versus the Arizona Diamondbacks at Truist Park. First pitch is set for 7:20 pm. Listen on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; air time is 6:05 pm.
