FLOYD AGAINST DRUGS, FLOYD MEDICAL CENTER, AND FLOYD COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO HOST DRUG DROP-OFF EVENT ON SATURDAY

Floyd Against Drugs, Floyd Medical Center, and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office will team up to host a drug drop-off event on Saturday, April 24th from 9 am to 1 pm. It will be held in the parking lot of the Breast Center at Floyd, located in the Harbin Clinic Cancer Center at 255 West Fifth Avenue.

Dale Styers, FAD Executive Director, encourages members of the community to dig into their medicine cabinets and bring anything now expired or unused to the drug drop. Event coordinators are prepared for inclement weather.

The purpose of the event is to keep drugs out of the reach of people that may misuse them and to offer to the public an opportunity to safely dispose of any drugs that are no longer needed, adds Styers. Dropped-off items will be sent to the Drug Enforcement Administration for disposal.
