The 2021 Rome Area Prayer Breakfast will be held on Thursday, May 6th, the National Day of Prayer, in the Community Building over at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds. Doors open at 6:30 am; the program will begin at 7 am and end promptly at 8:30 am.
This year’s keynote speaker is Sujo John, an author, international speaker, 911 survivor, and founder of YouCanFreeUS – an international organization that’s devoted to ending human trafficking.
John, a native of India, says that as the 20-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the US approaches, he chooses to focus on all of the sacrifices by those who continue to fight for freedom around the world.
During the Rome Area Prayer Breakfast, John will recount his experience of being at the World Trade Center in New York City on the day of the attacks. He will also share information about efforts of YouCanFreeUS to combat the issue of human trafficking, what he considers to be the most under-reported tragedy of our times.
Also at this year’s Prayer Breakfast, Nathan and Jane Phillips, the founders of Battlefield Ministries, will receive the Hugh Burnes Christian Service Award. Breakfast will be provided by Truett’s Chic-Fil-A and Lumina Coffee Co.
