The Between the Rivers Farmer’s Market will return to Bridgepoint Plaza in downtown Rome this Saturday. It will be held from 8:30 am to 11:30 am on each first and third Saturday of the month from May through September.
Christina Dew, market manager, encourages the public to head to the Market for locally-grown produce, baked goods, and more. Come ready to shop and ready to support local farmers and artisans.
The second market of the year (set for May 15th) will feature a celebration of strawberries, says Dew, who indicates that activities will include a strawberry eating contest for kids.
Dew attests that the goals of the market are to bring the community together and get fresh food to locals’ tables.
