NWGA COUNCIL OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA INVITES THE PUBLIC TO ATTEND PINEWOOD DERBY RACE ON MAY 15TH AND SUPPORT CAMP CARD SALES

The Northwest Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America invites locals to attend their Pinewood Derby Race on Saturday, May 15th from 12 pm until 2:30 pm at the Rome-Floyd ECO Center at Ridgeferry Park.

Eric Vaughn, Vice President of Marketing on the council’s Executive Board, says that Cub Scouts will build and race their own racecars at the event. The public is urged to attend.

The cost to participate is $5 per K-5th boy or girl. The district championship is slated for 3 pm that afternoon.

Vaughn adds that Camp Cards are currently available for purchase from local Scouts which offer great values to consumers and raise funds for Scouts to go to summer camps. Cards are $5 each. Don’t know a Scout? Reach out to the Rome office at (706) 235-5545.
