FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSION CHAIR WRIGHT BAGBY EXCITED ABOUT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UNDERWAY FOR 2021

Wright Bagby, Chairman of the Floyd County Commission, is excited about the economic development underway in this community for 2021.

Bagby says that he is particularly enthusiastic about the recent agreement by the Ball Corporation to purchase the industrial site at the corner of GA 53 and 140, a spot that had been up for grabs for more than a decade. This will pave the way for the company to expand its current operations in Rome.

In addition, 20 to 25 acres at the Floyd County Industrial Park located off of US 27 South near Georgia Highlands College is being developed into a solar farm, asserts Bagby.

Rome and Floyd County is also poised to receive money from the state that will go towards construction of a new Department of Drivers Service office,

says Bagby.
