GREATER ROME APPEARS TO HAVE YET AGAIN DODGED A WEATHER BULLET

It appears that Rome again dodged a bullet (for the most part) with the severe weather that moved through Georgia on Tuesday. Flash flooding occurred in some areas. Two inches of rain were reported at the Russell Regional Airport in Armuchee, bringing the two-day total since Monday to just under two and a half inches.

There is a slight chance for some showers and thunderstorms early today with patchy fog this morning. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy; highs will be in the upper 70s. Sunshine is expected to return on Thursday.
