ROME-FLOYD CHAMBER HOLDS 110TH ANNUAL MEETING AT THE HOME OF THE BRAVES

The Rome-Floyd Chamber hosted its 110th Annual Meeting on Thursday at State Mutual Stadium, home of the Rome Braves. It was a celebration of the accomplishments of the past year and a look ahead to goals for the remainder of this year.

Highlights of the day included the bestowing of the 2021 Small Business of the Year Award to Armuchee Pharmacy. Romega Digital was honored as the 2021 Emerging Small Business of the Year. The Chamber’s Exceptional 7 – Young Professionals were also recognized.

Jeanne Krueger, President and CEO, indicates that in a year unlike any other (because of the coronavirus pandemic), local businesses kept those wheels of commerce turning. Relationships between the Chamber and local businesses were made stronger through shared experiences.

State Mutual Stadium is part of the Rome experience, asserts Krueger, who adds that it was good to be back at the ballpark.

The public kick-off of the Rise and Thrive 2025 also took place at the Annual Meeting. The goal for this capital campaign is $2 million; 85 percent of that goal has already been met via contributions from Chamber supporters.
