ROME-FLOYD RECYCLING CENTER SET TO HOST A HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE AND ELECTRONICS COLLECTION EVENT ON MAY 15TH

The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center, 412 Lavender Drive, will host another Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics collection event next Saturday, May 15th from 9am to 3 pm, according to a media release from Floyd County Public Works. Appointments are required and limited to the first 540 callers. Call (706) 291-5266 any time from 7 am to 5 pm on Monday thru Thursday or Friday the 14th, to make that appointment. No appointments will be made after 5 pm on the 14th or on the day of the event.

HHW items that are typically collected at these events include used motor oil, paint, herbicides, pesticides, or any unknown liquid. Electronic items include televisions, computers, printers, recorders, and similar objects.
