ROME CITY COMMISSION TO MEET THIS EVENING; THE FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSION’S NEXT MEETING SET FOR TUESDAY

The Rome City Commission will meet in regular session this evening at City Hall (aka the City Auditorium) on Broad Street. Caucus will be held at 5pm in the Sam King Room; that will be followed by the meeting at 6:30 pm up in the Commission Chambers. Floyd County Commissioners’ next meeting will take place on Tuesday at the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue in downtown Rome. The caucus will begin at 4 pm in the Caucus Room (Suite 204), to be followed by the meeting at 6 pm in the Community Room (Suite 206). Each gathering is open to the public. Attendees are asked to wear masks and to practice social distancing.

Wright Bagby, the Chairman of the Floyd County Board of Commissioners, urges county residents to get involved with local government by attending the Commission’s bi-weekly meetings, along with committee meetings.
