CORONAVIRUS, VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Just 370 new cases of coronavirus and one virus-related death were reported in Georgia on Monday by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 886,723 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 17,702. The number of confirmed cases in the past 14 months totaled 10,016 in Floyd County, which has also had 185 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 86,792, while Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,285.

As of the latest update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard on Monday evening, 6,590,354 vaccines have been administered across the state; 36 percent of all Georgians have had at least a dose of the vaccine, while 28 percent have been fully vaccinated.
