CORONAVIRUS, VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Just 382 new cases of coronavirus and one virus-related death were reported across Georgia on Sunday by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 890,267 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 17,804. The number of confirmed cases from the beginning of the pandemic totaled 10,028 in Floyd County, which has additionally had 189 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the highest number of confirmed cases in the state with 87,035, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,289.

As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard on Sunday, a total of 6,830,213 vaccines have been administered across the state; 37 percent of all Georgians have received at least a dose of the vaccine, while 30 percent have been fully vaccinated.
