A total of 475 new cases of coronavirus and 24 virus-related fatalities were reported here in Georgia on Wednesday by the state’s Department of Public Health.
According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 891,502 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll currently stands at 17,849. The number of confirmed cases totaled 10,032 here in Floyd County, which has also had a total of 190 deaths. Gwinnett County has had the most confirmed cases in the state with 87,139. Fulton County has had the most deaths with 1,293.
As of the latest update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard Wednesday evening, 6,916,511 vaccines have been administered across the state; 37 percent of all Georgians have received at least a dose of the vaccine, while 30 percent have been fully vaccinated.
