ATLANTA BRAVES WIN SERIES FINALE VERSUS THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES, TAKE SERIES 3-1

The Atlanta Braves beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-1 on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a four-game set at Truist Park, allowing the Braves to take the series 4-1.

Austin Riley had not one, but two home runs to include a three run shot in the bottom of the first inning and a two-run bomb in the third. It was his second two-homer game of the weekend.

Dansby Swanson also contributed a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Max Fried picked up the win for Atlanta; he surrendered just one run and four hits, walked three, and struck out two in seven innings. JT Brubaker took the loss for Pittsburgh.

The Braves are off today and will open a two-game interleague set in Boston versus the Red Sox on Tuesday evening. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm at Fenway Park. Listen on WLAQ 1410 AM or 96.9 FM; air time is 5:55 pm from the Braves Radio Network.
