CORONAVIRUS, VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Just 321 new cases of coronavirus and no virus-related deaths were reported across Georgia on Sunday by the state’s Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 893,422 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll currently stands at 17,930. The number of confirmed cases totaled 10,041 here in Floyd County, which has also had a total of 192 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the most confirmed cases in this state with 87,285. Fulton County had the most deaths with 1,304.

As of the most recent update to the vaccine dashboard on Sunday, 7,060,640 vaccines have been adiministered across the state; 38 percent of all Georgians have received at least a dose of the vaccine, while 31 percent have been fully vaccinated.
