HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – COOSA VALLEY SEEKS NEW BOARD MEMBERS, RESTORE SHOPPERS

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley currently seeks volunteers to join their Board of Directors for the new fiscal year which begins July 1, 2021. They’re looking for individuals with experience in construction, finance, accounting, legal, marketing or charitable fundraising, according to a media release from the organization.

Habitat board members offer time, expertise, and financial support to further Habitat’s mission, strengthen neighborhoods, and build strength, stability and self-reliance for partner families from Floyd, Chattooga and Polk Counties. Board members can serve up to two 3-year terms. The Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley Board of Directors currently meets on the fourth Monday of each month at noon.

Those who would like to pitch in their assistance may stop by the Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley office at 504 East 1st Avenue. While there, be sure to check out their ReStore, urges Betsy Allgood, Executive Director.

The non-profit is now working with two new partner families to fulfill their dreams of homeownership.
