ATLANTA BRAVES IN NEW YORK TO TAKE ON NL-LEADING METS OVER THE WEEKEND

The Atlanta Braves were off on Thursday and will return to action tonight up in New York with the first of three outings against the NL East-leading Mets. Ian Anderson will be the starting pitcher for Atlanta, and Taijuan Walker will head to the mound for New York. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 pm at Citi Field. That game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; air time is 5:55 pm from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.

The Braves opened their current five-game road trip by splitting a two-game interleague set in Boston versus the Red Sox; they fell to a game below .500 with a loss in Wednesday night’s finale at Fenway Park.

Atlanta is now two and a half games behind New York in the NL East with a record of 24 wins and 25 losses.
