BRAG, the Bicycle Ride Across Georgia, will make its way to Cave Spring on Monday, June 7th.
An estimated 800 to 1,000 cyclists will roll into town that morning, enthuses Sandra Lindsey, former Director of the Cave Spring Downtown Development Authority, who adds that local businesses will be rolling out the red carpet for their visitors. Bicyclists will camp overnight in Cave Spring.
The public is invited to a concert that will take place that evening at 6 pm in front of City Hall featuring the Unusual Suspects. Those who would like to partake in adult beverages may obtain a wrist band for open containers in the area.
There will be a designated area for a ‘sip and stroll’ around downtown Cave Spring. The pool at Rolater Park will be open, as will the cave.
BRAG will begin this Saturday, June 5th at Lookout Mountain and will wrap up on Saturday, June 12th in Columbus.
The slate of activities for the month of June in Cave Spring also includes the 46th annual Arts Festival, which is set for Saturday and Sunday, June 12th and 13th at Rolater Park.
