ATLANTA BRAVES OPEN ROAD TRIP WITH STOP IN PHILADELPHIA TO TAKE ON THE PHILLIES

The Atlanta Braves were off Monday and will open a six-game road trip this evening with the first of three outings up in Philadelphia against the Phillies. Drew Smyly will serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta, while Aaron Nola will head to the mound for Philadelphia. The first pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at Citizens Bank Park. Listen locally on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; air time is 5:50 pm from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.

The Braves wrapped up a seven game homestand this past Sunday with a 4-2 victory over the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers; that allowed the Braves to take the weekend series between the teams 2-1.

Atlanta is now in second place of the National League East with 28 wins and 29 losses on the 2021 season; they are 3.5 games behind the division-leading New York Mets. Philly is in third place of that division.
