SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON HOUSING EXPECTED TO MAKE THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS TO ROME CITY COMMISSION TONIGHT

Rome City Commissioners are expected to hear recommendations from their Special Committee on Housing at their next gathering slated for this evening at City Hall.

Commissioner Wendy Davis, Chairwoman of that Committee, looks forward to receiving feedback from her colleagues.

The committee is tasked with finding solutions to the housing crisis currently facing our community, says Davis; their last meeting was one week ago.

Davis adds that the committee has been coming up with a list of incentives to recommend to city and county leaders which would be aimed at sparking new housing starts.

Commissioners will hold a caucus session at 5 pm in the Sam King Room of City Hall (AKA the City Auditorium); that will be followed by the meeting in the Commission Chambers at 6:30 pm.
