The Wings Over North Georgia air show has been nominated in USA Today’s 2021 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards and seeks Romans’ votes.
WONG, a fall favorite among Northwest Georgians since 2012, is among the finalists in the category of Best Air Show. Supporters may cast their votes on the USA Today website or via a link posted on the air show’s Facebook page, according to John Cowman, the President of JLC Airshow Management, who adds that he hopes to at least end up in the top three. He states that receiving such an honor would put the world on notice that Wings Over North Georgia is among the best air shows to attend in North America to include the United States and Canada.
The contest began on Monday, June 7th. Votes may be cast through Monday, July 5th. A person may vote once a day for the entire run of the contest.
Wings Over North Georgia 2021 will be held October 30th and 31st at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport. It will be headlined by the US Navy’s Blue Angels, who are in the midst of their 75th anniversary season.
