COUNTY AND CITY OFFICIALS WORKING TOGETHER ON ULDC REVISION

Officials from the City of Rome and Floyd County are currently in the midst of updating its ULDC (or Unified Land Development Code).

Wright Bagby, Chairman of the Floyd County Board of Commissioners, says that city and county leaders need to be ‘on the same page’ in order to produce a document that would effectively guide development and redevelopment for this community.

Consultants from Town Planning and Urban Design Collaborative, LLC, are providing assistance with this project. The public had an opportunity to learn more about the ULDC at a community kick-off event this past Tuesday at the Rome Civic Center.

County officials are also currently focused on increasing vaccination against coronavirus around the community. Incentives are being offered to all county employees who get vaccinated.
