LINDALE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION SCHEDULED FOR THIS SATURDAY

Restoration Lindale, Inc. invites the public to the 2021 Lindale Independence Day Celebration Parade and Festival, set for this Saturday.

There is no charge to enter the parade. Line up will start at Pepperell Primary School at 9:30 am; the parade will begin at 10 am, traverse Park Avenue, and end at First Baptist Church of Lindale. “Coach” David Jones, retired teacher and coach at Pepperell High School, will be Grand Marshall of this 7th annual parade, enthuses Tim Reynolds, President of Restoration Lindale, Inc.

This year’s festival will be the largest ever, adds Reynolds. It will take place from 9 am to 1 pm on South 1st Street. There will be various types of vendors and plenty of food to include barbecue.

Reynolds indicates that Lindale’s Independence Day Celebration will be held this weekend to allow locals to attend it in addition to the festivities slated for next weekend in Cave Spring (on July 3rd) and in Rome (on July 4th).

A wreath laying ceremony will also be held this Saturday at 11:30 am over at the World War II Roll of Honor in front of the Gilbreath Center. The Lindale American Legion Post 136 and members of Restoration Lindale, Inc.’s Board of Directors will lay that wreath.
