KEEP ROME-FLOYD BEAUTIFUL CONTINUES SUMMER SERVICE PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, SEEKS BUSINESSES TO ADOPT-A-MILE

Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful continues its Summer Service programs for high school students each Thursday through the end of July. Five projects remain, according to Emma Wells, Director, who also says that any student in need of service hours may participate.

Summer Service volunteers installed a pollinator garden at the GE Trails this past Thursday. Their next project will be conducted at the William S. Davies Homeless Shelters’ farm this Thursday, July 1st. Students may register online at www.keepromefloydbeautiful.org to participate.

Wells continues to encourage local businesses to sign up for KRFB’s Adopt A Mile program. In addition, plastic bag exchanges will be held in July at both the Ridge Ferry Park and Between the Rivers Farmers Markets, via which all locals are urged to bring plastic bags in exchange for reusable tote bags.
