LOCALS INVITED TO ROME AND FLOYD COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY EXPO ON JULY 10TH

Rome and Floyd County public safety departments will team up to present a Public Safety Expo on Saturday, July 10th from 10 am until 2 pm at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds.

There is no charge to attend the event, says Shasta Farrer, life and fire safety educator for the Rome Floyd County Fire Department. The participants will include the fire department, in addition to the Floyd County and the City of Rome Police Department, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Erlanger LifeForce, the Georgia DNR, EMA, and EMS. The goal, adds Farrer, is to demonstrate to locals how all of these public safety agencies work together for the good of the community.

Farrer says that the Public Safety Expo will be particularly fun for kids. And for job seekers, it will provide the opportunity to learn more about a career in public safety.

There will also be giveaways and car seat checks during the ’21 Public Safety Expo, for which the list of participants will also include Floyd County Public Works.
