CORONAVIRUS, VACCINE UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The Georgia Department of Labor is now only updating its COVID-19 Daily Status Report and the vaccine dashboard on weekends and holidays. Updates will continue each Monday thru Friday at 3 pm for both of those resources, as indicated by media release last week.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued on Friday just before 3 pm, there have been 904,073 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state since the start of the pandemic. The state’s death toll now stands at 18,517. Floyd County has had 10,083 confirmed cases, along with 194 virus-related deaths. Gwinnett County has had the most confirmed cases in the state with 88,054, while Fulton County has had the most deaths with 1,361.

As of the most recent update to the DPH’s vaccine dashboard this past Friday, 8,296,715 vaccines have been administered across the state; 43 percent of all Georgians have received at least a dose of the vaccine, while 38 percent have been fully vaccinated.
