NO SHORTAGE OF OPPORTUNITIES TO PURCHASE FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES IN THE SUMMER OF ’21

There’s no shortage of opportunities to get fresh fruits and vegetables around Rome and Floyd County in the Summer of 2021.

The Georgia’s Rome Farmer’s Market opened to the public back in June and is open every Friday from 9 am to noon at the Georgia’s Rome Gift Shop near the Rome Civic Center. Attendees may shop for fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, and more, enthuses Kristi Kent, Director of Communications at the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism.

The Davies Shelter’s Farm Bus is among vendors that frequent the Georgia’s Rome Farmer’s Market. Blake Dean asserts that events such as these afford him the opportunity to get to know other vendors and to learn exactly where and how the items he purchases are grown.

The Georgia’s Rome Farmer’s Market will continue over at the gift shop thru the end of this month.

The Between the Rivers Farmers Market is open at Bridgepoint Plaza on the first and third Saturday of every month from 8:30 am until 11:30 am through September 18th.

Christina Dew, the market’s manager, attests that she loves that ‘farm to table’ experience offered to shoppers at local farmers markets.

The Ridge Ferry Park Farmer’s Market also remains open to the public every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 am until 11 am through October 2nd.
