COMMUNITY PAINT DAYS COMMENCE FOR THE CARE MURAL, A PROJECT OF HARBIN CLINIC, ROME MURAL COLAB AND YMCA OF ROME AND FLOYD COUNTY

The Harbin Clinic, in partnership with Rome Mural CoLab and the YMCA of Rome and Floyd County, held the first of eight community paint days over at the Y on Tuesday for the CARE Mural.

The artwork in the mural was inspired by the artwork which was received in a competition earlier in the year among local students, for whom health and vitality served as inspiration. The mural, upon its completion, will serve as a motivating and energizing backdrop for athletes in the YMCA gym for years to come.

Ellie Borromeo, co-owner of Rome Mural CoLab, enthuses that as painting continues, the mural comes to life; when it is finished, it will be unveiled to the public.

Details are forthcoming in regards to that unveiling, which is likely to be held in mid August, says Borromeo.

Xaivier Ringer, Rome Mural CoLab co-owner, says that she is excited to see this project come to fruition.

Joshua McClure, the Harbin Clinic’s Corporate Communications and Patient Experience Manager, says that the clinic is happy to team with Rome Mural CoLab and the YMCA of Rome and Floyd County to promote inclusiveness, diversity, health, and wellness.
