PLENTY OF GREAT WAYS TO COOL DOWN IN ROME AND FLOYD COUNTY THIS SUMMER

If you are looking for ways to cool down this summer, you definitely have a plethora of options here in Rome and Floyd County. Kristi Kent, Director of Communications for the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism, suggests Rolator Park down in Cave Spring, the Northside Swim Center on Kingston Avenue, the Town Green next to the Forum River Center in downtown Rome, and the Rocky Mountain Recreation and Public Fishing Area near the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Kent also recommends paddles and floats down Rome’s three rivers and/or a visit to Cedar Creek RV and Outdoor Center in Cave Spring. Additional ways to beat the summer heat include enjoying a treat from a local ice cream shop, such as one of those in downtown Rome, and/or taking a hike along a shaded trail, of which there are many here in Floyd County.
