ROME-FLOYD PUBLIC SAFETY EXPO SET FOR SATURDAY

Rome and Floyd County public safety departments will host a Public Safety Expo this Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, 1400 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

There is no charge to attend this event. Participants will include the Rome-Floyd County fire department, the Floyd County and the City of Rome Police Departments, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Erlanger LifeForce, DNR,EMA, EMS, and Floyd County Public Works.

Sheriff Dave Roberson anticipates that the Expo will provide opportunities to interact with the public and to recruit some new employees in the field of law enforcement.

This event will be particularly fun for children, as indicated by Shasta Farrer, Life and Fire Safety Educator with the Rome-Floyd Fire Department.
