COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICE ON THE MOVE

Floyd County Commissioners voted Tuesday night in favor of the relocation of the Elections and Registration Office to the Health Department at 16 East 12th Street. The measure was approved at the Commission’s regular meeting. The office is now situated in the county’s Administration Building. A lack of space and parking at the current location have been cited as some reasons for the move.

The Rome City Commission is slated to hold a special called meeting on this Thursday morning at 10 am in the Commission Chambers of City Hall (or the City Auditorium) for a public hearing about a ’21 ad valorem tax millage rate increase. This will be the second of three public hearings; the first took place on Monday and drew no comments.
