ONE MORE DAY REMAINS IN THE MLB ALL-STAR BREAK, THEN IT’S BACK TO WORK FOR THE ATLANTA BRAVES!

One more day remains in the MLB All-Star break, then it’s back to work for the Atlanta Braves! The Braves will begin the second half of the season with a six-game homestand that will include a trio of games versus the Tampa Bay Rays over this weekend to be followed by three games against the San Diego Padres early next week at Truist Park.

Unfortunately, Atlanta will be without Ronald Acuna Jr. during the next half of the 2021 season due to injury. Ben Ingram, play by play announcer for the Braves Radio Network, attests that this is a significant loss as Acuna is one of baseball’s biggest stars.

Acuna tore his right ACL in last Saturday’s victory over the Miami Marlins; the injury also prevented him from playing on Tuesday night in the ’21 MLB All-Star Game, for which he had been selected as a starter.

First pitch of Friday’s series opener between the Braves and the Rays is slated for 7:20 pm. That game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 6:05 pm from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.
