NORTHWEST GEORGIANS INVITED TO GET A GLIMPSE INTO LIFE IN THE 1800S AT ‘VANN HOUSE DAYS’ OVER IN CHATSWORTH THIS WEEKEND

Northwest Georgia residents are invited by Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites to head over to Chatworth this weekend for Vann House Days that will be hosted by the Chief Vann House Historic Site, located at 82 Highway 225 North.

Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator, attests that event attendees will be given a glimpse into life in the 1800s at what was once the home of Cherokee Indian Chief James Vann.

The event hours are 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday. Activities will include tours of the house, blacksmithing, basket weaving, and more, says Hatcher.
