FLOYD COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT RESUMES PREVIOUS COVID-19 PREVENTION PROTOCOL

(Floyd County media release):

Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the Floyd County community, the Floyd County Superior Court will resume its previous COVID-19 prevention protocol. Masks will be required upon entrance to the courthouse, regardless of vaccination status.

Beginning Monday, August 2, 2021, the Superior Court will resume jury assembly, selection, and trials in the Forum River Center, 301 Tribune Street, Rome, GA. Jurors will assemble in the arena, and the ballroom will be used for jury selection and trials.

According to Chief Judge John Niedrach, “With its proximity and space, the Forum provides the Floyd Superior Court the best possible opportunity to maintain the vital functions of the court system during this difficult time.  We are extremely fortunate, and we very much appreciate the cooperation and assistance of the county commission and administration.”
