THE CURTAIN IS ABOUT TO RISE ON THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR FOR LOCAL STUDENTS

The curtain is about to rise on the 2021-2022 school year for students around Rome and Floyd County.

Thursday will be the first day of classes for the Rome City and Floyd County Schools, in addition to St. Mary’s School and Berry College Elementary and Middle School. The new school year begins on Monday, August 9th for Unity Christian School and on Monday, August 16th for Darlington School.

Floyd County Schools announced plans last Friday to revert to pre-pandemic operations in 2021-22. The Rome City Schools board voted earlier this week against a mask mandate in classroom settings.
