The Floyd County Board of Commissioners is slated to meet this Tuesday at the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue in downtown Rome. Caucus will begin at 4 pm in the Caucus Room (Suite 204), the meeting will follow at 6 pm in the Community Room (Suite 206). Both of the gatherings are open to the public. Attendees are asked to follow the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by wearing masks and adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Rome City Commissioners typically meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month; however, their August gatherings will be held on the 16th and 23rd. City leaders are currently attending the Georgia Municipal Association’s annual convention in Savannah. Craig McDaniel, Rome’s Mayor, anticipates that many good things will result from the convention.
McDaniel adds that GMA convention was not held in ’20 due to coronavirus concerns.
