NL EAST-LEADING ATLANTA BRAVES IN BALTIMORE OVER THE WEEKEND TO FACE THE ORIOLES; BRAVES RADIO NETWORK’S BROADCASTERS BACK ON THE ROAD WITH THE TEAM

The National League East-leading Atlanta Braves were off on Thursday night and will conclude their current nine-game road trip this weekend with a three game interleague series in Baltimore, MD versus the Orioles. Max Fried will be the starting pitcher for Atlanta in tonight’s opener, while Keegan Akin will head to the mound for Baltimore. First pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at Camden Yards. Catch all the action on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; air time is 5:50 pm from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.

The Atlanta Braves play-by-play broadcasters are now back on the road with the team! Ben Ingram asserts that he and his broadcast partner Joe Simpson are happy to have the call of each game live from the ballpark, as is producer Jonathan Chadwick.

Visiting the different ballparks around the United States is part of the appeal of broadcasting baseball, adds Ingram.

Ingram was a guest (by phone) on Wednesday’s edition of “Good Morning, Rome” on WLAQ; that interview may still be heard by Atlanta Braves fans on the WLAQ-Rome Facebook page.

The Braves have gone 6-0 thus far during this road trip with NL East sweeps of the Nationals in Washington DC and of the Marlins in Miami. They have a record of 65-56 and a four game lead in that division over the Philadelphia Phillies (who have lost their last four straight outings). The Orioles have the MLB-worst record of 38-82.
